Fire starters come in many different varieties. I think cheap and easy to make is the best kind and this fire starter from BlackScoutSurvival hits that mark perfectly. Using a cotton ball coated in petroleum jelly and then wrapped in aluminum foil, this has to be one of the cheapest fire starters ever. The best part of this one, besides the fact that it will burn for almost an hour, is that it is re-usable. That’s pretty amazing. As an alternate to buying cotton balls, you can also use dryer lint which makes this even cheaper. You’ll like this short and simple video.
